![]() While June may be the cheapest month to rent a Small car from Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Phoenix, February is the most expensive. C$ 66 per day is 25% lower than the C$ 88 average yearly price for a Enterprise Rent-A-Car Small rental in Phoenix. more for gas and american express charged me another $20.00 for "preferred insurance" that I guess I signed up for in 2006.The best time to rent a Small car from Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Phoenix, Arizona is in June when prices are C$ 66 per day on average. My $17.95 net total turned into $32.48 and all my points used to get a $50.00 credit towards car rental only resulted in $35.00 of useable credit -so I lost $15.00 there. I can imagine how many corporations do not pay attention to these policies and do not benefit from any discounting COMPLETELY< AS ADVERTISED, nor do they realize the gas scam as most employees do not bother worrying about gas when retuning a car. I spent one half hour with manager, luckily I had time. I complained heavily and they ending up giving me a future credit of $15.00 towards future rental. I asked what was going on? She said that american express rewards certificates are not applied to taxes.Taxes were over $25.00. She applied and showed me not a bill of $17.95, but $32.48. Luckily I had a copy of rewards certificate with code, which I had to give the assistant manager to input for FIRST TIME. I told them I had asked more the once, when I obtained the car. I asked again if the membership rewards was applied and they said no -it was not there. When I returned the car they met me outside and processed my card payment. ![]() What a scam that is - how would I trust the car fuel tank to run it to empty, risking 1 gallon to be left in and having to pay $6.08 per gallon? I declined. I asked again if my membership rewards certificate had been applied to the price and he looked at the contract and said,"yes, it s there." He asked if I wanted to return it full of gas, or I would pay $6.08 per gallon for partially filled, but ONLY $4.07 per gallon if I brought it back empty. He then presented me with a contract and we walked around the car. The guy said ok, "I just didn't want to walk all the way over to get you a compact car." He came back with the car then declared I was lucky to get a brand new one, with only five miles logged on it. I was assured yes, then sent upstairs to another worker who tried to upgrade me, "for free" I first said yes and then said I was worried about the size of car and parking limitations. When I arrived I was bussed to another terminal and my reservation was in place, I asked if the membership rewards certificate had been applied. The rewards certificate was for $50.00 and my balance was $17.95. I was able to reserve the car online and when it asked if I wanted to use my american express membership rewards, I thought "why not." After jumping through few hoops on the american express site, I secured a reward code and applied it to my total reservation of roughly $68. I chose enterprise, due to previous experience as an employee. ![]() ![]() I was weighing the cost to get myself from San Jose to my mom's house in Pacific Grove and found a car rental to be the best choice. My company uses enterprise for all mainland and inter-island travel. I would use them in a heartbeat just because the customer service was outstanding. An employee at Enterprise enthusiastically wanted to itemize all of the tax fees. Actually, we've never had that happen it's the reason we never purchase roadside service!īe aware that the tax is 40% if you rent a car from the Sky High airport. We used them 2 weeks later and had no problem with another SUV. Not one word of.well you should have blah blah. She could not have handled the situation anymore professionally. When we told the manager at Enterprise how inconvenienced we were because the car wouldn't start, that we had to rent another car that cost more than the Enterprise rental without any hesitation they paid for the car rental, deducted their car rental for the day and gave us a 15% discount coupon for our next rental with an apology. Instead we called our AAA roadside service. Not reading the fine print we didn't pay extra for roadside service and we were told we'd be charged $50.00 for someone to come and jump the car. Thankfully, our hotel had a car rental on site. The next morning I had an appointment and the car was dead!(electrical short) STRESS. We rented an SUV and and drove it straight to our hotel. Glad you asked! You reminded me of how I need to write a review for Enterprise.
